“Children are seeking predictability and control in a world that feels increasingly uncertain, and they're taking that out on their parents, which is — of course — understandable, but also can be quite difficult...”
Nighttime waking, potty accidents and other regression can accompany new stress or anxiety.
Did you know that the Children’s Museum has a Community Garden (an acre and a half to be exact!), with fruit trees, vegetables, flowers and more? Try this Earth Month DIY Grow a Seedling Activity, courtesy of our garden experts at the Museum.
-Begin by removing the lid from the egg carton, and poking a hole at the bottom of each cup so there is somewhere for the extra moisture to drain.
-Fill each cup with a little bit of potting soil and one to two seeds. -Once the seedlings start to sprout and they're about four inches tall you can transfer them to your garden.
-Transferring them is simple, you can either use a spoon to gently lift out each seedling, or just widen the holes at the bottom of the cups and plant them directly into the soil with the carton.
