Did you know that the Children’s Museum has a Community Garden (an acre and a half to be exact!), with fruit trees, vegetables, flowers and more? Try this Earth Month DIY Grow a Seedling Activity, courtesy of our garden experts at the Museum.

-Begin by removing the lid from the egg carton, and poking a hole at the bottom of each cup so there is somewhere for the extra moisture to drain.
-Fill each cup with a little bit of potting soil and one to two seeds. -Once the seedlings start to sprout and they're about four inches tall you can transfer them to your garden.
-Transferring them is simple, you can either use a spoon to gently lift out each seedling, or just widen the holes at the bottom of the cups and plant them directly into the soil with the carton.

Fun art project for families... everyone is invited to participate! https://www.facebook.com/events/634995274018423/
Last summer we traveled all over the western US. We visited many children’s museums but Santa Fe’s is the only one my children still talk about and ask to visit again. It’s a small space compared to others we have visited but it has a perfect layout! I loved that I could play with my baby in the infant/toddler area but still keep an eye on my older two (ages 4 and 8). They loved all the activities and the fact that there were volunteer staff on hand to interact with them. We spent two days there. It was a great museum and a clearly memorable experience for my kiddos.
Our visit to the Santa Fe Children's Museum!
Yesterday I brought my two sons in for the first time and we had so much fun! My 8 year old is autistic and the staff were absolutely amazing with him!
