It's time to mark your calendars!

The St. Vital Museum will be participating in Doors Open Winnipeg 2026. 🚪🚪

Come check out our collection of fascinating history! Take pictures inside our jail cell or with our 1939 Pumper Truck, the last of the City of St. Vital Fire Department fleet.

Explore the galleries on your own or join us for a guided tour!
Tours will be 30 to 45 minutes in length running casually throughout the day.

We're open from 10am-4pm on Saturday May 30th and Sunday May 31st. Can't wait to see you there!

🎶To celebrate International Jazz Day, we're highlight Lenny Breau!🎶

One of the best guitar players of his generation. Lenny took a strong influence from jazz in his younger years. In turn developing his innovative style of finger picking the strings while playing jazz songs.

Let's celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day! 🎊

Have you ever built your own race car? Here in our Guides & Scouts Exhibit we have Kub Kars. These race cars are built and designed by Scouts each year, as one of their challenge activities. We thought this captured the spirit of World Creativity and Innovation Day!

🎊It's official!!!🎊
We have opened our Guides and Scouts exhibit.
This past Saturday on April 11th, we held our opening ceremony for the exhibit.
With crowd of 200+ people, we want to thank everyone who came to celebrate with us! As well as everyone who made this exhibit possible! THANK YOU!!! 👏

If you wish to see the exhibit in-person, the museum is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am-4pm.

This is a photograph of Wallace (Wallie) Munroe (1893-1973), he fought in the expeditionary forces for Canada during WWI.

Today we honour him as one of the many Canadian soldiers who fought at the Battle of Vimy Ridge in 1917.

If you would like to read his story or see his uniform, then come on down to the St. Vital Museum.

Here at the St. Vital Museum we hold the writings of St. Vitallers, which includes poetry. If you're a fan of local poets, come on down to the museum to explore some local works.
