Dalnavert has new hours!

Dalnavert will now be open longer for the summer months (June-August). Starting tomorrow, we will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

We offer tours of the house throughout the week. To ensure you can get a tour, please book a tour in advance using the link in our bio!

There's still some spots left for our Paint n' Sip Morning on Sunday, June 14th!

Join us for a beginner-friendly watercolour tutorial, then relax in Dalnavert's beautiful garden with a mimosa while you create your plein-air masterpiece! The historic house will also be open to explore all morning, participants are invited to take a break and step inside at any time.

Tickets are $37 general admission, and $30 for members. You can also add on a yummy brunch plate for $5!

Thank you to everyone that came to Dalnavert Museum and Visitor's Centre for Doors Open Winnipeg. We were honored to have so many people come through the house this weekend and it was great to see so many new faces! Thank you especially to our volunteers who made this weekend happen!

Do you like bugs? So did the Victorians!

They loved studying them and even collecting and displaying them. In this activity you will get to go on a bug hunt in the gardens at Dalnavert. After a refreshing glass of lemonade, we will move into the Visitor’s Centre and make a craft inspired by the insect displays of the Victorian era. Please note that this craft will not include the use of real bugs!! This activity will happen rain or shine; in case of rain we will have alternate indoor activities planned.

Screen-Free Sundays runs the first Sunday of the month through the summer. Be sure to check out the other events and book your tickets in advance because spaces fill up quickly. We will not be accepting walk-ups during this program. Tickets can be booked through our website (link in our bio).

This activity is open to children and their adults only. Please note children must be supervised at all times. Best suited to children ages 6-12 years old.

Ticket price includes optional self-guided exploration of the house but not a tour. Guided tours should be booked separately.

IMPROTANT: It's going to be hot for Doors Open Winnipeg (May 30-31, 2026). We ask that everyone keeps themselves safe for this weekend as Manitoba cotinues to have a yellow heat advisory.

Dalnavert Museum and Visitors' Centre (because it is an old house) does not have modern air conditioning. Please make sure you are drinking enough water and keeping yourself cool.

IMPORTANT: Dalnavert Museum and Visitors’ Centre will be pausing the Homeland of the Red River Métis Walking Tour. In recent days, we have heard concerns about the tour from members of the Red River Métis community and we want to ensure that we are listening to those voices and not causing harm through our actions. This tour will be on indefinite hiatus while we engage with the Red River Métis community to find a better path forward.

Dalnavert Museum and Visitors' Centre will be open both days (May 30 & 31) from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Throughout the two days, we will be offering FREE 20-minute tours of Dalnavert's main floor.
