My fourth and final colouring book with Fernwood publishing is now out sept 26 🥰🥰🥰🥰 link is in the comments ❤️ Children Are Medicine is the fourth colouring book by Anishnaabe artist Jackie Traverse. This new book contains both new drawings and original art by Jackie Traverse. Children are Medicine honours the place of children in the lives of Indigenous Peoples. Indigenous children were specifically targeted as part of a colonial mission which removed them from their families, their culture, and their vital role in sustaining their communities. In this book, Jackie pays tribute to and celebrates the joy and vitality that children bring to the life of communities. The love that children generate is vital to healing Indigenous Nations.

📚 The People’s Library Book Sale! 📚

Hello Community Members!

We’ve been spending the summer cleaning, organizing, and refreshing The People’s Library, and we have extra copies of books and language resources that are ready to find new homes!

Join us for a Book Sale starting Tuesday, August 25, until Friday August 28, from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM.

📖 Books and resources range from $2–$10!

Our selection includes works by Niigaan Sinclair, Sherman Alexie, Richard Wagamese, Basil Johnston, and others, along with a variety of Indigenous education and language resources.

Come by, browse the collection, and find something new to take home! We hope to see you there! 😊
