El rojo del fondo es la sangre derramada por las víctimas de la violencia en México. El báculo en forma de serpiente, sostenido por el luchador, quien representa al pueblo mismo, simboliza su inteligencia y creatividad para resistir. La cruz habla del catolicismo arraigado en la cultura mexicana, y los rayos dorados que salen de su ojo son la esperanza que persiste. La máscara oculta y revela a la vez: es el arquetipo de un pueblo que lucha, se disfraza y sigue de pie.
