Last day to register for this class - just need two more participants to run!

Led by artist Rachelle Paul .house.studios, this 8 hour class will guide you through the entire stained glass process. Choose from one of 6 design templates and select from a variety of glass colours that are provided. You will then get to cut, grind, foil and solder your very own glass suncatcher and take your work of art home at the end of the class!

No stained glass experience is required. All personal protective equipment will be provided to ensure safety (Safety glasses, gloves, etc.). Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting messy (aprons are great if you have them!). Also, bring a closed water bottle and a packed lunch.

Rachelle has taught this workshop in our space once - it was a huge success! Don't miss out on a rare opportunity to experience a timeless art form!

More photos and teasers to come next week!

Rachelle is a self-taught stained glass artist who is based in Middle Sackville, NS. She has been working with glass for over decade and uses traditional Tiffany stained glass methods; although her style of work is modern and playful.

She works with bright, cheerful colour palettes, as well as heritage glass that is increasingly hard to come by. Geometry and nature are central themes in many of her pieces, as are more whimsical themes such as comfort food, and cute animals.

The session will run from 10 am -6pm on May 17, 2026 at Wonder’neath, 2482 Maynard Street. Minimum 7 participants, maximum of 10.

Ticket $250, link in bio.

Please Note: Stained glass involves working with lead, acids, and other corrosive materials.

felted wool and embroidery thread

Jenny Hasselman found a love for needle felting through at a Wonder’neath Open Studio session with her daughter. Ever since she’s been stabbing wool and incorporating her love of embroidery into her work. She’s constantly aiming to improve and find her artistic voice and vision. Jenny finds her artistic inspiration from photos, primarily taken by family and friend, as a way to connect to those personal impressions and deepens the meaning of each piece.

Jenny has three felted artworks in the Forever Home Auction. Follow the link in our bio or at www.wonderneath.com. Bidding closes at 9 pm Saturday!

Thank you for providing us with beautiful plants for our Wonder'neath garden boxes. We had so much fun gardening with you while learning about plant care and pollinator plants!

We have many delicious, edible plants, including strawberries, corn, beans, squash, and an herb garden! Come by to pick any herbs or growing food to eat. Planting corn, beans, and squash together is an Indigenous agricultural practice known as the Three Sisters. Our two garden boxes of the Three Sisters will be ready to harvest in the coming fall!

Thank you for building these beautiful garden box benches for us. They look amazing and provide a perfect space to sit and enjoy the company of friends and plants.
