Today, we’re chatting about Helen Creighton, the legendary Maritime folklorist from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, who spent decades travelling throughout the Maritimes collecting songs, stories, legends, and traditions directly from the people who lived them.

From ghost stories to sea songs, Helen helped preserve an incredible piece of our region’s cultural history. 🎶

What an amazing weekend! 🌊

A heartfelt thank you to Briana Corr Scott and Nimbus Publishing for joining us at Spindrift Gallery to celebrate the launch of Peggy and the Ghost. 👻📖

It was wonderful to see so many families gather for the book reading, meet Briana during the signing, and help Peggy solve the mystery of the ghost through the scavenger hunt. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the afternoon so special.

We are thrilled to be hosting our very first Artist-in-Residence at Spindrift Gallery! 🎨

Join us August 1–3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as celebrated Canadian artist and illustrator Kat Frick Miller transforms our main-floor gallery into her studio space, creating original pieces inspired by the beauty, history, and culture of Peggy’s Cove. 🌊✨
