The People's House will close at 1pm on Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday, June 24. Last entry time is 12pm.

The White House History Shop will be open from 9am to 5pm both days.

In this photo, White House Housekeeper Shirley Bailey was photographed by National Geographic photographer Joseph J. Scherschel in 1970 as she moved a lamp on the Third Floor of the White House. Shirley served as White House Executive Housekeeper from 1970-1979.
