Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion

Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion In 1859, cloth merchant Ebenezer Maxwell (1827–1870)
moved to the suburbs and built this mansion for $10,000.

Located in Germantown's Tulpehocken Station Historic District of
Philadelphia, PA, the mansion tells the fascinating tale
of the emerging middle class from 1850 to 1880. A contributing property of the Tulpehocken Station
Historic District, the mansion was added to the National
Register of Historic Places in 1971. The mansion and its
surrounding gardens now operate as a museum.
