Calling all budding performers! PTM is now offering performing arts workshops as part of our daily programming.
In August, learn techniques to take your puppetry and storytelling to the next level in "Puppet Masters"! Drop by the Playhouse Theatre at 12 p.m. each day the Museum is open to participate. Additional workshops are offered on Saturdays. Sign-ups are required. 🎭
Did you know that Mr. Potato Head was originally a real potato? First sold in 1952, the kit contained accessories kids could place on potatoes from their pantry, and included hands, feet, ears, mouths, eyes, noses, glasses, hats, and a pipe! 🥔 The plastic potato "body" was launched in the 1960s.
Check out some of the Mr. Potato Heads in our collection, now on display in celebration of Potato Day! On Saturday, August 5, enjoy spud-tastic programming as well as free potato chips from Herr's Snacks (while supplies last).
