The Hunting Park Community Science Network seeks to engage and excite neighborhood residents in the wonders of science and inspire them to interact with science, engineering, and technology events and activities on a more regular basis. The Franklin Institute, in collaboration with key community stakeholders in the Hunting Park neighborhood, plans to create science related activities, including a

Star Party in early November and a Discovery Day that will take place within the greater context of the annual Philadelphia Science Festival. The aim of all programming efforts is to make science accessible and activate a network of community partnerships. This is the first known attempt within the city of Philadelphia to mobilize an entire community to provide science related content for its own residents. HPCSN is comprised of representatives from:
