Tambaran Gallery Tambaran - New York is pleased to invite you to a new “Conversations “on Wednesday, September 16, 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Featuring three exceptional works from the collection of Scott Clark, presented alongside selected works from Maureen Zarember’s collection. 🗣️🖼️
Together, these objects will open a dialogue about their artistic, historical, and cultural connections while celebrating the friendships, shared curiosity, and generosity that sustain the collecting community.
Conversations is an ongoing series that invites distinguished collectors to present works from their collections, offering a rare opportunity to discover the stories behind extraordinary objects and to explore the relationships that shape collections over time.
Scott Clark left New Zealand more than forty years ago, but distance has never diminished his connection to its art, sporting traditions, rural life, or the cultural renaissance led by Māori communities. He carries that connection, in part, through a personal collection of Māori taonga—treasured cultural objects that embody histories and stories long predating his role as their caretaker.
