Congratulations to Mary Mattingly on her feature in Hyperallergic’s review of the Medina Triennial. Mattingly’s work, Floating Garden, is included in the inaugural edition: a 30 by 80 foot barge where Mattingly has constructed a garden, serving as a space for refuge, community, and education. Sara Reisman writes: “[Floating Garden] is a nexus where many purposes and audiences converge, transforming the canal into a site of cultivation, shared food, education, and civic infrastructure — modeling sustainability through the frame of artistic practice, much like the Medina Triennial as a whole.”
