This quintet, ‘Untitled’ from 1988 is a prime example of Günther Förg’s precision.

On view at the gallery as part of ‘Now Modern’, space acts as the central character: the space between color-or lack thereof; to the space between paintings side by side in sequence.

On view through the end of the week!

A highlight from our booth, booth C2 at Miami Beach 2022 is this wonderful Beauford Delaney Pastel.

Executed in 1960, reimagines a classic subject, a still life of grapes, and injected it with a nonfigurative sense of color and form.

This is one of the many gems on view this year at the Miami Beach Convention Center, and in our online viewing room at artbasel.com/OVR

employed rich, evenly built-up colors, and utilized the closedcropped view of rock forms to exude a sense of stillness characteristic to much of her oeuvre.

The present work typifies Shore’s method of abstraction, which integrated her traditional European fine art training with a keen focus on elements of the
natural world, such as shells, flowers, rocks, and roots.

“The artist has a great responsibility not only to use himself honestly and know his medium profoundly, but to realize that he must communicate unique experiences so that they become unquestionably possible for the viewer, which are not dependent upon inappropriate rationales, but emerge in symbols clearly of his own time, and basic to aesthetics of future times.”
