Look closer. The cat is looking back.

In Vantage Point, Deborah Claxton (1950 - 2025) builds an entire world from thousands of hand-cut paper pieces. Slivers of color become fur, delicate whiskers cross tangled greenery, and those piercing eyes hold your gaze. The closer you look, the more extraordinary it becomes. ✂️✨

Woodward Gallery represents the
Estate of Deborah Claxton. ✨

Sweet Nothings, 2008 💕

Margaret Morrison reimagines childhood favorites, Mickey and Minnie PEZ dispensers into a monumental celebration of nostalgia and the joy of everyday objects. ✨

Acquired directly at the 2009 premiere of Morrison’s Larger Than Life series, and treasured in a private NYC collection ever since, this oil painting is now available for the first time in more than fifteen years, and will be featured in our upcoming documentary film on the artist.

A Shadowman in the parking garage. Richard Hambleton tells the story in his own words. 🖤

“In 1984… Steve Mass of the Mudd Club said to me that he wouldn’t park his car in any parking lot that didn’t have a Hambleton security Shadow in it.”

Richard shared this story during a 2007 interview with Valerie Gladstone of The New York Times at Woodward Gallery.

AuruBOROS, created by Plastique Fantastique , the Berlin-based artist studio led by Yena Young and Marco Canevacci, reimagines the ancient symbol of a snake eating its own tail. As you walk through the golden installation, your reflection becomes part of the work, drawing you into its endless cycle. ✨

Check it out today on the High Line in West Chelsea, above Little West 12th Street, near the Meatpacking District. It is Bvlgari’s first public-art installation in the USA.

On September 11, we think about the lives lost, the families forever changed, the courage of the first responders, and the enduring strength of New York City.

Claxton’s intricate composition of hand cut -paper reflects on the World Trade Center Cross, the intersecting steel beams discovered among the ruins of Ground Zero. She transforms a symbol born from devastation into one of remembrance, faith, and hope.

We will never forget. 🤍
