Any day is a good day to rock this album. Mondo put together a lovely release of this score, and it's everything we need today. Lush instrumentals make for sweeping and elegant excitement, and this score album has a ton of it.

How's THIS for a Monday record spin? Mondo's special edition of Ju**ie XL's score for MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is an absolute rager, an unmatched force. It is an element of this film that acts simultaneously as a mood setter, plot driver, and unseen (but definitely heard and felt) character that's riding shotgun in a EVERY vehicle. One of the best I've ever heard.

I used to play this on my Fisher-Price record player when I was a child. Probably drove my family nuts with how much I used to repeat it over and over again. My sister had it in a box of records from when we moved out of Falls Church, and I ganked it a while back. Here's to my family, good memories, fantastic music, and Tom Jones.

Found this gem in the used racks at Records & Rarities at Springfield Town Center. A lot of you might only know the Scottish band Stealers Wheel from their inclusion on the RESERVOIR DOGS soundtrack. But the first track on this album, "Late Again," speaks of more Beatlesesque aspirations and starts off the record with an instant ear-catcher. Really liking what I'm hearing so far.
