Berlin Art Week is a festival week and major collaboration between important institutions in the Berlin art world. Once a year, we present a diverse programme with over 100 partners ranging from museums to exhibition houses, fairs, private collections, project spaces, and numerous Berlin galleries. Our partners open their doors together and invite the public to discover something new and to immerse themselves in ongoing developments in the world of contemporary art. Art experts and art lovers from Berlin, Germany, and around the world are invited to exhibitions, performances, screenings, and an extensive festival week programme. Berlin Art Week is a project of Kulturprojekte Berlin. It is made possible with the support of the Senate Department for Culture and Community, the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises and the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE). For the fifth consecutive year, Berlin Art Week and Museumdienst Berlin collaborated to offer guided tours across the city, connecting visitors with artists, exhibitions and cultural institutions.
 
This year, more than 700 guests joined 35 tours in German and English along six routes through Berlin, visiting 31 different institutions. From museums and galleries to project spaces, art associations and theatres, the programme showcased the diversity of the city’s contemporary art landscape.

Beyond Berlin Art Week, Museumdienst Berlin offers a wide range of tours, workshops and educational programmes throughout the year across 14 museums, exhibition venues and memorial sites in Berlin.

Berlin Art Week 2026 has come to a close. The fifteenth edition drew about 200,000 visitors, sending a strong signal for Berlin’s art scene. 
 
With 125 partners and more than 300 events, Berlin Art Week brought the contemporary art world together across the city for a week. The programme reflected the vitality, diversity and international reach of Berlin’s art scene and attracted visitors from Berlin as well as guests from around the world.
 
Thank you to all artists, partners, curators, institutions, project spaces, galleries, supporters and visitors who made this anniversary edition possible.
 
The next Berlin Art Week will take place from 8—12 SEP 2027. We look forward to seeing you again next year in Berlin.

The final day of Berlin Art Week brings everything together: artist talks and programme at the Berlin Art Week Garten, performances and guided tours through exhibitions and project spaces. A perfect chance to discover personal highlights. The day concludes with ›Ein Tag im Grünen‹ (Day in the Green) which transforms the whole of Kulturforum into a lively gathering place.

Day three of Berlin Art Week spotlights the city’s independent scene: as part of the Featured 2026 selection, initiatives and project spaces all over the city presented special programmes, showcasing emerging talents and fresh perspectives. In the evening, Featured Night kept doors open late with exhibitions, events, and performances across all of Berlin.

Next, there’s another highlight on the Berlin Art Week agenda. On Saturday, 12 SEP, private collections take centre stage with Open Houses and Discovering Collections!—offering rare insights into Berlin’s collecting practices. Signing up early pays off, since spaces are limited.

What a wonderful second day of Berlin Art Week! From the opening of the 13th edition of Positions Berlin Art Fair at Tempelhof Airport to Gallery Night with exhibition openings across the city—Thursday was filled with discoveries and encounters.

This was the first day of Berlin Art Week! With openings of major museums and exhibition spaces all over Berlin, the city is buzzing with creative energy and we cannot wait for the days ahead. 
Today, Berlin Art Week continues with the opening of the 13th edition of Positions Berlin Art Fair at Tempelhof Airport and Gallery Night with exhibitions all across the city.

On Thursday, the 13th edition of Positions Berlin Art Fair opens at Berlin-Tempelhof Airport. The fair brings together a mix of national and international galleries, presenting both emerging artists and established names. In the evening, galleries across the city host exhibition openings as part of Gallery Night, in cooperation with Gallery Weekend Berlin.
