Every immersive field trip at the Calgary Police Discovery Centre is an opportunity to educate students about real-world situations, practice decision-making, challenge assumptions, and learn tools and strategies to make positive choices and navigate a complex world.

A big day at the Calgary Police Discovery Centre! Today, we were honoured to host both the graduation ceremonies for both the Calgary Police Service Canine Unit and the Mounted Patrol Team Graduation Ceremony. We celebrated 10 graduating canine teams from the Calgary Police Service and Alberta Sheriffs, including new HRD dogs Quinn and Bill, and patrol dogs Ozzy, Pronto, Leeroy, and Zom. We also welcomed Archer, Calgary’s newest Police Service Horse. From paws to hooves, these remarkable teams represent dedication, partnership, and service to our communities. Congratulations to all of today’s graduates!
