Our final day of daily operation will be this weekend as our summer students are needing to return to school for the year. However we are thrilled to still remain open for September Long Weekend and weekends for the entire month of September (minus one day where we are booked out for a private event already)!

We hope our extended hours will allow people who didn't get the chance to come out earlier in the summer to visit with us now or come to visit with us again!

Did you enjoy the Viking Village at Viking Days? Want to learn more about Vikings and re-enactment?

Heimdall's Spears are the Red Deer Branch of a Viking Re-enactment Group called The Vikings Vinland (we also have groups in Edmonton & Calgary)
We get nerdy on Viking history, crafting, combat and more.

If anyone’s interested in learning about what it is we do, we have some up coming practice dates for the next few months.
There is no cost to show up, come find out what it is we do, whether it is crafting, combat or working on our kits! Even if you just want to come talk about some Viking History feel free to stop in! See attached poster for dates, either Thursday nights 6-8pm or Sundays 1-4pm! Hope to see you there!!

We've got our Pancake Breakfast in full swing today until 12pm! It is included with your admission to the Viking Village today which is open until 4pm.
Once you're done having some pancakes and taking in the Village and a combat show at 12pm you should head on over to Historic Markerville for their annual Show and Shine that's happening until 4pm today as well! We've got a full Sunday for you this weekend!
