We join Canadians across the country in mourning the tragic loss of four Canadian soldiers following a fire during a military training exercise at CFB Wainright over the weekend.

Our deepest condolences go out to their family, friends, fellow soldiers and everyone affected by this tragedy, including the 39 injured members recovering from the incident.

We stand alongside the Canadian Armed Forces community during this difficult time.

You may recognize Barry from his video showcasing his contribution to our Sopwith Triplane!
Not only does Barry share his incredible skills and passion for aviation with us, but he also brings some amazing homegrown tomatoes! 🍅 Barry has been a dedicated volunteer at The Hangar Flight Museum for 32 years, making him our longest-serving volunteer! His hard work, knowledge, and love for aviation have made a lasting impact on our museum.

The Avro Lancaster is a crowd favorite! A remarkable aircraft with an extraordinary history. Here at The Hangar Flight Museum we have one of eight Lancasters in Canada.
Around 7,400 Lancasters were built during the Second World War, including 430 in Canada. Today, only 17 complete Lancasters remain, and just two are still airworthy: the Mynarski Lancaster in Hamilton, Ontario, and the Lancaster operated by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight in Coningsby, England.

Last week, Scout and Tom visited the SAIT Campus – Art Smith Aero Centre for Training and Technology to showcase the Silver Dart handling collection program.

They were able to showcase artifacts from Canada’s aviation history with the students. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our country’s aviation heritage to life and share it with the next generation of aviation enthusiasts!

🎃🦇Fly Babies: Witches, Pumpkins, and Bats, Oh My! 👻✨
Join us October 29 at 9:30 AM for a spooktacular Fly Babies adventure! Little witches, bats, and ghouls will search around the planes for hidden pumpkins, create their very own Jack-O-Lantern craft, and discover what powers a witch’s broom during story time.
Costumes are highly encouraged! This fun-filled program is geared toward ages 2–5, but all ages are welcome.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! Your ticket includes Museum admission for the day, so stick around and explore the exhibits after the program.
Come ready for a morning of Halloween fun!🎃
