OPENING TOMORROW!

MAGNET is delighted to present the first solo exhibition by PAMELA THOMAS and warmly invites you to come and celebrate with her tomorrow from 2.30pm

This most serene collection of landscape photography, LANDPRINTS honours the beauty of the natural world - images of the Scottish highlands, the rugged northern Isle of Skye and their antipodean counterpart in Tasmania. Mountains, water, sky and cloud formations......these are Pamela Thomas's gentle yet powerful subjects and she turns her camera on them with an unerring eye of understanding.

MAGNET REAWAKENS !

Welcome to Spring at MAGNET! To celebrate the season we're showing a wonderful double bill - selections of works by two photographers who draw their inspiration from Mother Nature.

In our intimate Gallery 1, Landscape photographer PAMELA THOMAS shows LANDPRINTS - a collection of images ranging from the fine detail of grasses to the sweeping Monaro plains and Scottish Highlands. Her eye for colour and composition is unmatched - and the best thing you can do is come and see her exhibition for yourselves!
LANDPRINTS opens on Sunday 18 October (2.30 -4.30pm)

In Gallery 2 visual storyteller PAM DAVISON collaborates once again with couturière LINDA BRITTEN with a collection of beautiful images inspiring gorgeous gowns in a story of WHISPERS WOVEN IN WATER, WINGS and WILDFLOWERS.

TO ALL YOU DEAR AND GENEROUS FRIENDS OF MAGNET

We are delighted to tell you that we raised $13,241 through our REMEMBERING Fundraiser in memory of MICHAEL SILVER, to benefit DEMENTIA AUSTRALIA!
Warmest thanks to all of you who helped us raise that sum by donating prints, purchasing prints, bidding in our Silent Auction and purchasing tickets in our raffle.....as well as those who simply made a donation to DA to support them in their valuable work. You are all wonderful!

MAGNET is resting for the next few weeks while Susanne is having a bit of R&R in England visiting family. She's back in mid-September. Daniel at Photonet Fine Art Printing is on board to help with any queries.

Also please consider hiring the Gallery 2 space for your own mini-exhibition in our BARE BOARDS GALLERY . ($500 a week gets you the gallery walls, you produce and promote, hang and demount your own exhibition!) All details and arrangements - contact PAM DAVISON ([email protected] ) who is co-ordinating the project while Susanne's away.
