TO ALL YOU DEAR AND GENEROUS FRIENDS OF MAGNET

We are delighted to tell you that we raised $13,241 through our REMEMBERING Fundraiser in memory of MICHAEL SILVER, to benefit DEMENTIA AUSTRALIA!
Warmest thanks to all of you who helped us raise that sum by donating prints, purchasing prints, bidding in our Silent Auction and purchasing tickets in our raffle.....as well as those who simply made a donation to DA to support them in their valuable work. You are all wonderful!

MAGNET is resting for the next few weeks while Susanne is having a bit of R&R in England visiting family. She's back in mid-September. Daniel at Photonet Fine Art Printing is on board to help with any queries.

Also please consider hiring the Gallery 2 space for your own mini-exhibition in our BARE BOARDS GALLERY . ($500 a week gets you the gallery walls, you produce and promote, hang and demount your own exhibition!) All details and arrangements - contact PAM DAVISON ([email protected] ) who is co-ordinating the project while Susanne's away.

ANNOUNCING........

THE (MAGNET) BARE BOARDS GALLERY

GALLERY 2 AT MAGNET is available during the months of August
and September for you to produce and show your own DIY exhibition!

WHAT'S THE DEAL?

HIRE OF GALLERY 2 (large gallery) : $500 FOR 8 DAYS, $850 for 15 DAYS
(Sunday to Sunday or Tuesday to Tuesday including bump-in and bump-out)

AVAILABLE DATES : between 16 August and 27 September

“Bare Boards” means that WE give you the bare four walls and YOU do all the rest:
– Hang or pin your prints
– provide your wall-labels and posters
– do your own social media and other promotion
– organise an Opening Event (if you wish) (and wash up afterwards!)
– supervise your exhibition Tuesday to Saturday
– manage your sales (Commission on sales : 15%)
– demount your works at the end of the exhibition

IT'S NOW OR NEVER!

Your very last opportunity to catch our exhibition FLY ME TO THE MOON by TRACEY ROBERTS is here and now this weekend.
The gallery is open until 4pm today, Saturday, tomorrow, SUNDAY 2 AUGUST 11am to 4pm.
CLOSING DRINKS at 3pm on SUNDAY and a chance to talk to Tracey about her artworks and the LUNAR CODEX PROJECT that sees these 12 artworks travelling to the moon in October or November this year! Yes! really!
Along with artists from all around the world Tracey has been selected to have her images, inscribed on a nanofiche disk, included in a timecapsule and blasted to the surface of the moon (aboard a SpaceX rocket) to remain there in perpetuity to show the art, culture and endeavour of humans on Earth to however may find them in the future.......

YOU CAN OWN A PIECE OF "FUTUREHISTORY" - these twelve unique images, printed on traditional handmade papers from all around the world, are available for purchase. DON'T MISS A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY!

Your last chance to see FLY ME TO THE MOON, digital artworks by TRACEY ROBERTS starts now!

TOMORROW (Wednesday) meet Tracey in the gallery 11am to 1pm to discuss her unique art, her synasethesia, and HOW and WHY these images are blasting off to the Moon in October. All welcome, admission free

ALL WEEK visit the exhibition, purchase a unique print on gorgeous traditional handmade paper and choose a CD of Tracey's music

SUNDAY (Closing Day) come and chat to Tracey and farewell the exhibition at

Such a great concert in the gallery last night when TRACEY ROBERTS performed MOON SONGS to serenade her exhibition ! An enthusiastic crowd enjoyed the music, wine and art. Were you there?
If not - come to MAGNET this weekend (11am to 4pm) or Tuesday to Sunday next week to see FLY ME TO THE MOON - unique prints of digital artworks on world handmade papers. Purchase a piece of history....inscribed on a nanofiche disk these images will be landed on the moon in a time capsule in October this year!

TRACEY ROBERTS sings MOON SONGS to serenade our lovely neighbour in space. In the midst of her gorgeous exhibition of unique artworks Tracey will sing a playlist of songs with a moonlit theme, talk about her artful images that will soon be literally flying to the moon and invite you to enjoy the exhibition......with a glass of wine in hand!
Sounds like a perfect way to spend the evening - in a warm gallery with wine, music and art!

HOW MANY SONGS ABOUT THE MOON DO YOU KNOW??
OK, make a list and then come to MAGNET on Friday evening to tick off every one that TRACEY ROBERTS sings!

MOON SONGS concert at 7pm on Friday 24 July will bring our nearest celestial neighbour into the gallery as Tracey serenades the 12 artworks in her exhibition FLY ME TO THE MOON.
These works, digitally inscribed on a microdisc will leave earth in October bound for the moon in a time capsule that will be left at the Moon's south pole. ( Read all about this amazing project at : https://www.lunarcodex.com/ )
