They say invention is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration – and it’s clear to see at Top Designs 2025 just how hard at work Victoria’s future designers have been.

From an ultrasonic sensor-assisted drone to a self-stabilising plane design, and even a fashion-conscious automatic car sorter with its own tasteful eye for colour, this year’s Systems Engneering students have orchestrated a masterclass of invention.

Experience a jaw-dropping showcase of the very best in Media, Product Design, Theatre Studies and more from Victoria's top VCE and VET design students.

Bushfire-resistant homes, urban vertical park architecture and workwear for women with endometriosis, to self-stabilising planes, modular housing and much, much more. Top Designs 2025 is a celebration of ingenuity and a spectacular display Victoria’s design future.

Plus: for current VCE, VM and VCE VET Design and Technologies students and teachers, Top Designs 2025 features a series of in-person educational forums and panels led by industry experts.
