I claim this title now, while my expression retains its unadulterated purity and carries the heat to pierce deeply into chosen hearts. What lies here is no crowd-pleasing answer, but a whirlpool of obsession born from pushing a specific aesthetic to its absolute limit.”

Alice d’Apolito (Alice d'Apolito ) is an Italian contemporary artist and animator, living and working between Leeds, UK and Tokyo. Her work combines pop iconography, character-driven narratives and painting. Central to her work is her signature alter ego, a recurring persona she uses to address identity, personal mythology, emotional states and observation.

Her sketchbook archives, animation training and international career, including a collaboration with For The Win in Los Angeles, shape her painting and animation. Her work connects fine art, motion and sculpture. This led to her debut art toy, Bunny Pop 好き, the first in a series of projects that bring her characters and alter ego into sculpture and collectible objects.

Recent exhibitions include the DA.YO.NE. group shows 大♥カワII 展 and 大エロカワ展 at KICHI Gallery in Ebisu, Tokyo, alongside Rockin’Jelly Bean (Rockinjelly Bean ) and Yozo (YOZO ) as well as SOFT POWER at D.Contemporary Gallery in London and Light Dances with Darkness at the Orangerie in Munich. She shows painting and sculpture side by side, in Tokyo, London and Munich.

She has been spending more time in Tokyo recently, and SHDW is working with her on a series of projects, starting with the limited Tokyo edition of Bunny Pop, launching 24 September.

Alice d’Apolito is an Italian contemporary artist working between Leeds and Tokyo. Trained in animation, she paints character-driven work built around one recurring alter ego. She has shown at KICHI Gallery in Tokyo alongside Rockin’Jelly Bean and Yozo, at D.Contemporary in London, and at the Orangerie in Munich, and has collaborated with For The Win in Los Angeles. Bunnypop is her first art toy.

The limited Tokyo edition is being released through .gallery.

AN EXHIBITION OF NEW WORK BY YOZO KELENMI

We’d like to update you on one of the rising stars of the Tokyo art scene. Yozo Kelenmi emerged from Harajuku in the mid-2020s. His debut exhibition What If opened at Gallery Harajuku in September 2025 and sold out immediately to some of Hong Kong’s, Taiwan’s and Tokyo’s most influential collectors.

His style, post-Shibuya punk, takes 2000s Tokyo street culture, punk, graffiti, gangs and Y2K futurism into a near-future urban setting. The technique is immaculate, the backgrounds dense with hidden manga references and story-filled details. Each painting stands alone, but together they form a single connected universe.

His Instagram .__ has grown rapidly since his debut, with an engagement rate that outpaces artists with ten times his following. A trajectory we believe reflects his talent, vision and potential role as a defining voice of the modern Tokyo art scene.
His second exhibition, CULT, opens in Tokyo, autumn 2026. We’re documenting work as it comes in, and wanted to let our collectors know that the digital catalogue will be ready in September. Email [email protected] to join the waiting list.
