On this day in 2015 the SS El Faro was lost with all hands. This was the worst disaster since the sinking of the SS Marine Electric in 1983. We remember their loss and honor them as a reminder that going to sea is still considered a hazardous profession. The brave souls who go to sea risk it all each voyage.
