Did you know fossils are rarely found complete? Most are in pieces, and just like a puzzle, every new piece reveals more of the prehistoric past! 🔎✨
This National Fossil Day, we’re highlighting some exciting fossil discoveries on display in Adventures in Texas Deep Time, including mosasaur fossils discovered right here in San Antonio by San Antonians Savin Uribe and Josh Leach! 💙
These fossils belonged to giant marine reptiles that swam through the waters that covered Texas millions of years ago. And the discoveries aren't over yet! Witte curator Dr. Adams is studying these specimens, discovering new clues about these incredible underwater predators and the world they lived in. 🌊🦴
