Journey through hundreds, thousands, and millions of years of Texas history with Dr. Thomas Adams, Head Curator and Paleontologist. Discover Bexar County mosasaurs, dinosaur fossils from Big Bend National Park, the search for the Battle of Medina, and more before creating your own fossil-inspired watercolor with featured artist Alicia McAllen.
Your ticket includes guided gallery access, light bites, drinks, and all watercolor materials.

Party of the Century is taking over October 10 with celebrations all day long. Then, when the sun goes down, Party of the Century: After Hours turns it up with a live performance by SAINT MOTEL, DJ Catwalk, drinks, food, unexpected museum experiences, and more. 🎢🍸✨

It’s the last week of August, but the San Antonio summer is still on fire! πŸ”₯ We’ve got plenty of free activities to keep the kids cool after school, as well as weekend fun this August 23 - 30:

- Build a Human-Human Fruit and take it home with you at the LEGO store at North Star Mall! This Sunday 23rd, 12:00 - 2:00pm.

- Catch the first games of the NFL preseason at The Rock at La Cantera! Catch Seahawks vs Titans at 7pm on August 23rd, and Patriots vs Browns at 7pm on August 27th β€” both on the 40ft screen!

- Go on a Hill Country Explorer Adventure at Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa! Kids aged 8-12 can explore the nature right outside their door in this guided trail walk on August 29 at 10:30am.

- Get FREE admission to The Witte Museum as a Bexar County resident on Tuesdays, 3-6pm! Let the kids learn, explore, and cool off after school in the museum’s incredible galleries and exhibits.

- School-aged kids can Read to a Dog at the Tobin Library (part of San Antonio Public Library) on Thursday 27th August from 3-4pm! Readers aged 5+ can practice their skills with therapy dogs and their handlers, on a first come first served basis.

- Join Once in a Wild at the Refuge Coffee and Beer Garden for their last Sunday of the month cafe and cuddles event! Register via EventBrite for FREE family fun, animal encounters, photo ops and more!
