If you are searching for an inexpensive day out with your family tomorrow, look no further than the all-free day at the Texas Transportation Museum. That's Saturday, May 9, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Thanks to sponsorship by the Red McCombs Auto Group, admission to the 19th Annual "San Antonio Ford Model T Show" is free, plus you get full access to the entire museum with all its exhibits, model railroads and, let's not forget, rides on our full-sized train. If that isn't enough, starting at 10 AM, children's book author Julia Parker will be signing her "Kitten Conductor" book along with an adorable plushy toy based on the book's adorable little kitten. Bring a picnic lunch and eat under the shade of some very old trees. How can you beat that?

Good morning everyone the museum is closed today so our volunteers can spend Easter with family. Looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend.

More improvements at TTM. The asphalt you can see in these snaps of our 1925 Buffalo fire truck,outside to provide space for the upcoming annual membership meeting, is brand new. It the base for a brand new building to house our vehicle collection and relieve the overcrowded space in our main display building. It will tie in nicely with our growing bus collection at one end and our Viking ships at the other. After 60 years without local, county, state or federal support, TTM continues to grow and provide better ways to keep San Antonio’s rich transportation heritage alive.
