LAKE FLATO: Architecture that Works with the Environment
(Architecture & Arts Lecture Series)
The Aline B. Carter Foundation will host a talk by acclaimed San Antonio architect Ted Flato, FAIA, at the Maverick Carter House. He and David Lake, cofounders of Lake|Flato Architects, received the American Institute of Architects’ Gold Medal award in 2024, their profession’s highest honor. Past recipients include Frank Lloyd Wright, Santiago Calatrava, and other world-renowned architects. Please come to learn about the only Texas architects to win the AIA Gold Medal in its 119-year history. The lecture is free and open to the public. Doors open 5 pm, lecture 6 pm.
Visitors may tour the home after the program.

Maverick Carter House (Across the Tobin Center on Auditorium Circle) at 119 Taylor St., San Antonio, TX 78205.
Parking is available in the Tobin Center Garage (227 4th St.) through LAZ Parking.
There is also a surface parking lot south (left) of the house on 445 E. Martin St and behind the house at 106 Auditorium Circle.
