🦚 **Honoring Indigenous Peoples Day** 🌄
Today, we honor the cultures, histories, knowledge, and traditions of Indigenous peoples around the world while also calling on more people and orgs to join the fight for their survival, dignity, sovereignty and their lands. Land back to all the indigenous peoples that have been displaced from their communities, forests, cities.
At Ahimsa Travel Club, travel has always been guided by respect and understanding what has happened to the true guardians of the lands that we travel through. Why have they been genocided and erased? That’s why we prioritize Indigenous-led experiences on our tours...creating opportunities to learn directly from Indigenous communities, celebrate their cultural heritage, and support the people who generously share their food, homes, stories, traditions, and wisdom with us.
Most importantly we believe we all have the responsibility to stop the modern day genocides happening in Palestine, Congo, Sudan, and stop indigenous people being ethnically cleansed in places like Kashmir and so many more.
May we continue to travel with humility, honor Indigenous voices, and come back home to fight for indigenous rights and existence.
