Somewhere between a museum exhibit and a pregame adrenaline rush.

The Global Game: Soccer in the United States & the FIFA World Cup™ is now open at The Paley Museum, tracing the rise of soccer in America through historic artifacts, iconic match moments, interactive experiences, and the stories that turned the world’s game into part of the American cultural landscape.

From game-worn jerseys by Matt Turner and Tim Ream to rare memorabilia, archival footage, broadcast experiences, and skill challenges for fans of all ages, this exhibit is less “please do not touch” and more “take the shot.”

Paley Members receive free admission. Children under 12 are free.

On view through July 26.

Happy birthday to Aaron Sorkin, the writer who gave us the walk and talk, the late-night briefing, and the belief that public service could be both grueling and great.

In the summer of 2024, we celebrated 25 years of The West Wing with "Inside The West Wing: A 25th Anniversary Salute" right here at The Paley Museum, and the fans who came through those doors reminded us exactly why this show still resonates. The costumes, the props, the press briefing room, the stories behind all of it.

Twenty-seven Emmy wins. Seven seasons. One standard that has never really been matched. Here's to the man who wrote it.
