Seasonal Museum Assistants work 15-20 hours per week and duties include greeting guests at the door, working in the gift shop, and assisting in other front of house duties. The pay is $15/hr.

The detail work of the Pabst Mansion's exterior 😮‍💨 These small features aren't always easy to see, but the Pabsts made sure they were there. Their dedication to creating an extremely intricate home is how the Pabst Mansion earned its nickname as the "crown jewel" of Grand Ave (now Wisconsin Ave).

Although b**r baron Captain Frederick Pabst died on January 1, 1904, he wasn't buried until months later, once the ground thawed. In the time between his death and burial, Mrs. Pabst hired guards for a total of 169 nights to watch over his body. These watchmen were paid $2 a night (approximately $75 in 2026). As you can see from this 1904 receipt from , this was no small expense.
