Established in 1988, the Tory Folliard Gallery is Wisconsin’s leading gallery in contemporary art. The gallery specializes in the exhibit and sale of emerging and established artists, with an emphasis on Midwest artists. Focusing on traditional media and content, the Gallery presents in-depth exhibitions in its large warehouse space that is located in the Historic Third Ward of downtown Milwaukee.

Exhibitions change on a monthly basis with solo shows in the main spaces and smaller shows in the adjoining galleries.The Gallery has a reputation for excellence that it continues to earn by providing a high level of service to its clients.

One of the most distinctive voices associated with American Surrealism, John Wilde (1919-2006) was a master draftsman and a deeply imaginative painter whose work continues to feel strikingly current. Paintings, prints and drawings spanning across his accomplished career are currently on view at Tory Folliard Gallery as part of his solo exhibition, “The Magic Realism of John Wilde.”

On view at Tory Folliard Gallery are paintings, prints and drawings by acclaimed Wisconsin artist John Wilde (1919-2006). Wilde is credited with being one of the leaders of the American Surrealism movement known as Magic Realism, and his artwork explores the relationship between life and death.
