The stories found within the walls of the world’s only Harley-Davidson Museum® range far beyond the successes and trials of the world’s most iconic motorcycle brand. The history of Harley is woven into the history of America. The freedom and ingenuity that have become hallmarks of America are embodied in the motorcycles that bear the Harley-Davidson name and in the tales of those who build and rid

e them. A walk through the Museum is a walk through the history of the United States. It’s an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. 100 runs. More than a century of mud, hills, water crossings and motorcycle history.

First held in 1923 by the Lansing Motorcycle Club, the Jack Pine Enduro has earned a reputation as a grueling test of rider and machine. This year marks the 100th running of the legendary endurance race.

Harley-Davidson has been part of the story from the very beginning. Oscar Lenz won the inaugural Jack Pine aboard a Harley-Davidson and went on to win six more times, while William Davidson claimed victory in 1930. Riders including Dot Robinson and Gerald McGovern also became part of the event’s storied history.

Discover more about the riders, machines and competition that helped shape the Jack Pine in the Clubs and Competitions Gallery at the Harley-Davidson Museum.
