Soref Dome Theater & Planetarium at the Milwaukee Public Museum. MPM's Planetarium is Wisconsin's largest and most modern, and is the first Planetarium in the world to debut a Digistar 6 computer projection system that fills the entire Dome Theater with stunning 3D animations, creating an immersive astronomy experience. You'll see breathtaking vistas of the night sky, planets, the Milky Way, and distant wonders of the universe.

A new era of exploration! Our future home, the Nature & Culture Museum of Wisconsin, will feature the state-of-the-art Daniel M. Soref Planetarium. Located on the first level, the Planetarium will continue to offer stargazing and other astronomy-related shows and programs, as well as Giant Films, just like the current building's Planetarium. However, we're changing the design to a flat floor with seats that are reclined and can be removed. This will allow us to use the space for a variety of special events and programs—from private dinners to yoga classes under the stars, to live music concerts, and even laser shows! The Planetarium at MPM will continue offering shows through our last day, Jan. 3, 2027.
