A look back at a paw-some day on campus! 🍂🐕

We’re so grateful to the 200+ guests who joined us for an afternoon of furry friends and fall fun at the first-ever Paws on the Prairie (Style). Check out some of our favorite moments from the day!

HAPPENING SATURDAY: Join Martin House Creative Resident Abdul-Razak Zachariah for a special storytime featuring a reading of his new children’s story, Leave a Crack for the Light!

Participants will also enjoy a hands-on collaging activity using historical images and other materials to cut, paste, and draw their visions of community members coming together to create neighborhoods filled with joy, welcome, comfort, and liberation.

Last week, we celebrated the opening of "Stained by Time," the final project by our Creative Resident, . 🌸

Featuring pressed peonies from the Martin House gardens, "Stained by Time" explores a poignant question: What remains after something disappears? Through this work, Selva reflects on the Elm trees and Japanese screens that once resided on our campus, inviting us to consider memory, loss, and what we leave behind.

Experience "Stained by Time" in the Greatbatch Pavilion Center through November 16.

A Wright-themed video game? Say less! 👾 🕹️

Our very own Kurt Treeby has an exhibition at Hallwalls called "I've Got Next" that features five playable retro video games based on art history themes.

"Wright Fight" has Frank Lloyd Wright-themed gameplay set in some of his most famous buildings.

If you're a fan of Wright, video games, art history or good old fashioned fun, you should definitely make a plan to see this before the exhibition closes on October 30!

Join children’s author and 2026 Creative Resident Abdul-Razak Zachariah for a reading of his new children’s story, leave a crack for the light, plus other stories about communities coming together to celebrate, create, and rebuild the spaces that matter to them.

Then, get creative with Collective Visions, an all-ages activity where participants will cut, paste, and draw their visions for neighborhoods filled with joy, welcome, comfort, and liberation.

Come imagine what our communities can become when we create together!

Free and open to the public. Pre-registration required. Space is limited.

We are now accepting vendor applications for this year's Night of Light on December 5 from 3-6pm.

The plaza will be transformed into a sparkling holiday wonderland with twinking lights, festive music, and an indoor local makers market.
