Apaisements et joies pour un hiver fanfaron

Le rythme de nos pas comme celui des saisons, en battant la semelle, invite des apaisements et des joies harmoniques.

En échos aux feux et grésillements dans l’âtre, des œuvres manifestent et réchauffent ce qui peut l’être par l’art.

Des signes évoquant la musique apparaissent en sourdine comme souvent dans nos présentations ; cette fois, en sextuor.

Calm and joy in the fanfare of winter

The rhythm of our steps striking the ground, like that of the seasons, calls forth calm and harmonic joys.

Echoing the fires and cracklings in the hearth, works take shape and warm all that can be warmed through art.

Signs evoking music emerge softly, as they often do in our presentations; this time, in sextet.

Les Galeries Bellemare Lambert sont fières de présenter une exposition majeure du travail de Charles Gagnon, qui sera jumelée au lancement d’une importante monographie sur l’artiste, publiée aux éditions Figure.1.

L’évènement sera l’occasion de souligner l’étroite collaboration que nos galeries poursuivent avec le travail de l’artiste depuis des années :

« Nous étions sérieux, Charles et moi, un peu solennels, mais avec humour et respect de l’intégrité.
Nos galeries exposent ses œuvres depuis longtemps avec ferveur, un bonheur chaque fois.

Sur chacune, Charles a répandu les braises d’un métier sûr et réfléchi. Toutes périodes confondues, son œuvre se décline au présent car son évidence est la joie, aux effets toniques contagieux et fraternels.
