Great Lakes Museum The Great Lakes Museum was founded in 1975. It is located at 55 Ontario St. in Kingston The Marine Museum of the Great Lakes was founded in 1975.

It is once again located at its national historic site location at the Kingston Dry Dock at 55 Ontario St., Kingston, Ontario following 5 years away. The Museum is open for storefront gallery visits and pre-booked guided tours of the Kingston Dry Dock National Historic Site. Tours are 45-minutes in duration and can be booked online via our website.

Meet Tim, our volunteer of the month!⁠

Tim joined the Great Lakes Museum volunteer team in January 2021 as Keewatin Project Manager, helping coordinate the relocation of the S.S. Keewatin from Port McNicoll to Kingston. He also serves on the Museum’s Board of Directors and continues to support the Museum through a variety of ongoing projects.
