On 15 September, National Trust Queensland's new Trust Library and Research Centre at historic Wolston Farmhouse opens for a rare, intimate Trust Talks experience.

First session sold out - session two still has tickets available from
1pm–2pm, with a curated look at six significant collection items, hands-on (gloved!) access to rare archival objects, and afternoon tea at the farmhouse.

What a Home Front Festival it was!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to Wolston Farmhouse on 16 August for the inaugural Home Front Festival - stepping back into 1940s wartime Queensland for a day of history, community and connection.

Today's the day! 🎖️ Home Front Festival is on NOW at Wolston Farmhouse, 10am–4pm.

Come dressed in your 1940s best (or just come as you are!) for a full day of swing dancing with Chrissy & Ray Keepence, live music from Amberley Brass under the old fig tree, rations cooking and Dig for Victory garden demos, a 1940s Fashion Show with Miss Evelyn Carter at 3:30pm, and food from BBQ Roadshow Low'n'Slow Catering and Bare x Bones Coffee — or bring your own picnic.

On the day you can grab lunch from BBQ Roadshow Low'n'Slow Catering & Events, and treat yourself to a coffee from Bare x Bones Coffee. Prefer to pack your own? Bring a picnic and spread out on the lawns — there's plenty of room to spread a blanket under the trees.

Step back in time with Chrissy and Ray Keepence, the husband-and-wife team bringing vintage style, music and dance to life! 💃🕺

Long-time swing dancers, teachers and performers, Chrissy and Ray are the faces behind , sharing their love of Lindy Hop and the music of the swing era for more than 30 years.

At the Home Front Festival, Swing-A-Billy Ray will keep the atmosphere jumping with a fabulous soundtrack of vintage swing, jazz and dance-floor favourites, while Miss Chrissy of works her magic at her Vintage Hair & Makeup Pop-Up Salon.

Together they'll also hit the floor with a Swing On In dance demonstration and fun taster class - so polish your dancing shoes, fluff your victory rolls and come join them for a fabulous step back into the 1940s!
