Artist Statement:
“All the Worlds a stage, and all men and women merely players” – Shakespeare, As you like it.
The latest selected works on display from my studio in Saint Peters, encapsulate the exhibitions title and the above quote.
They include specific visited locations in and around Paris, alongside invented environments, inhabited with characters seen along the way.
Travel has to be our most important university of Life. Stepping into new locations challenges us to rethink what we know and what we take for granted.
As an artist, it challenges our visual senses and promotes new ways of problem solving.
These works are testimony to stepping beyond our comfort zones, on to that magical stage.
