I am honoured to be named a finalist in the 2026 Kangaroo Valley Art Prize with my artwork

This painting titled, "Somewhere in Australia - Near Murray Bridge" is incredibly close to my heart; as you explore its layers, you are seeing a piece of my history - born in Murray Bridge and raised on a farm on Ngarrindjeri Land - deeply shaped by the influence of Australian masters Tom Roberts and Hans Heysen.

Having it recognized by the judges at Arts in the Valley means the world to me.

Huge congratulations to my fellow finalists. I can't wait to see the full exhibition brought together in the valley.

For those local or planning a weekend trip, the exhibition opens Friday, 2nd October at 6.30pm at the Kangaroo Valley Hall and runs through the long weekend.

Caravan living means my art studio has wheels - and today the view is unmatched. ✨️🎨
Im parked up at Copi Hollow in outback NSW where the deep blue water meets the striking red desert dirt.

There is endless inspiration right outside the van door.

I'm currently spending the day chasing the light and capturing this incredible landscape.

"I am deeply saddened by the recent passing of Violet, a remarkable soul and the subject of my recent artwork. Painting Violet was an absolute privilege, her presence, warmth, and spirit completely guided my brush.

I am incredibly honoured to share that this portrait has been selected as a finalist in the Pro Hart Outback Prize.

While this recognition is a proud moment for me as an artist, it is truly a tribute to Violet herself.

My time and memories living in Kakadu will be cherished."

I am deeply saddened by the recent passing of Violet, a remarkable soul and the subject of my recent artwork. Painting Violet was and absolute privilege; her presence, her warmth, and spirit completely guided my brush.
I am incredibly honoured to share that this portrait had been selected as a finalist in the Pro Hart Outback Prize. While this recognition was a proud moment for me as an artist, it is truly a tribute to Violet herself. It was her captivating essence and unique story that gave the piece its life and resignated so strongly with the judges.
