Candyss Crosby is a local Manly artist with a deep affinity and respect for the ocean, the land and our environment. She has lived beside the ocean all her life and has always been inspired by its beau

ty and meditative qualities. For inspiration she scuba dives, meditates and walks beside the sea, and swims in the ocean as much as possible. "I stop and sketch at the beach on my walks and quickly return to the studio to paint from loose sketch ideas. I like to rely mostly on my imagination to guide me as I paint spontaneously. The images I paint invite the viewer out across the sea, allowing them to dive into the horizon & up through the sky beyond. I like to relate the feeling of openness and expansiveness that I experience when I'm at the ocean's edge. I want to create the feelings of inner peace and solitude through my seascapes"

Candyss has been a professional artist for 25 years and has exhibited in many galleries and events, both nationally and internationally, and her contemporary art can be found in both corporate and private collections. She is currently working and exhibiting in her Northern Beaches warehouse studio and in her recently opened studio gallery in Singapore. Candyss is always happy to meet with the public and her work can be viewed by appointment.
