The creative journey starts here. The Sum of all Arts. The Mill is South Australia’s leading multidisciplinary arts organisation.

Since 2013, The Mill has grown to encompass studio, creative industry offices, and working spaces and the current site on Angas Street is home to over 45 artists, makers, and designers at any one time. Supporting more than 1000 artists through its broader programs each year, The Mill’s multidisciplinary space combines galleries, a performing arts space, photography studio, tools workshop and shared meeting facilities behind The Mill’s dynamic street presence in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. The Mill’s rich, year-round program provides artists with the necessary physical space to work on their practice, alongside diverse public events, performances and exhibitions, and development opportunities. The Mill’s masterclasses, workshops and residencies place local artists, both emerging and established, with leading practitioners from across the country, and around the world.

Which meant we also announced the 2026 award recipients.

A new solo exhibition by artist Hamish Fleming presents a series of nocturnal scenes, backstreet roadsides and spaces of intimate solitude.

Fast-food chains and service stations are reframed through the slow and lingering attention needed for painting from life.

The opening is on Friday, October 16, 5:30-7:30pm at 154 Angas St, Kaurna Yarta.

Are you our Adelaide Fringe Stage Manager and Technical Manager?

We have two paid positions available for our 2027 season, from February 15 to March 21.

These roles are best suited to well organised people with technical theatre and backstage experience, who enjoy collaborating with performers from a range of disciplines.

The LIMITLESS 2026 Opening Party... what a night!

Celebrating 272 South Australian artists and 649 artworks on our walls with over 250 of you.

Together we painted our walls red with dots, ate delicious burgers from GANG GANG, and drank delicious Shapeshifter Brewing Company b**r, Halls Soft Drinks and Hither & Yon w**e from our Brand South Australia bar.

A big thank you to our door wizard Calamity Tash and our volunteers Suzie, Olivia, Laura, Mel, Danielle and Mim for all your hard work.

LIMITLESS 2026 is running until October 9, with plenty of incredible works still awaiting their red dot.

A new solo exhibition by artist Sharifah Sorayya explores identity as an Asian woman of mixed heritage.

Presented as part of OzAsia Festival, the exhibition uses photogravure technique resulting in a layered, mixed-media series.

The works reflect on family, her experiences as a global citizen, and resilience forged through life's unexpected challenges.
