I use all kinds of tools to move the paint when paint pouring but I don’t use brushes.
So I thought it would be good to challenge myself and see if I could paint something from memory, using brushes!
This was inspired by my recent trip to the beautiful Yorke Peninsula.
It’s surprising how little paint I use compared to paint pouring but the patience needed to paint with brushes and acrylic paint is another level 😆

‘Down at the Rocks’ was so much fun to paint.
I wanted to somehow use the view from the cliff top path at Marino, looking down as waves crashed against the rocks. Of course I wanted to create this as an abstract style using fluid acrylics just to really make things hard for myself 😂
This is 53cm x 43cm and framed in pine and all ready for its new home!

We went away to the Yorke Peninsula for a few days over the weekend. Lots of inspiration in watching waves & nature do its thing.
‘Fresh’ is now ready for its new home. It is 61cm x 46cm and the paint flows down the sides (I love that parts of paintings) so no need for a frame.
