We had a record-breaking number of submissions, meaning there are tons to see this year, and plenty of beautiful quilts to vote on.

We are SO happy to see everyone's excitement for our upcoming Quilt Show, and we have received a record-breaking number of quilts so far! As the last few days of drop off are this week, and we have limited hanging space, we are limiting submissions to sizes below 70"x80"

🎬 Join us for the community premiere of Working Ports: Port of Texas City — An Industrial Powerhouse.

Studio 1842 and the Texas City Museum invite the community to a special first look at the newest installment of Working Ports, a documentary series exploring Galveston County's maritime community.

The event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Texas City Museum. Guests can watch the new documentary, tour the museum's exhibits and enjoy light hors d'oeuvres.

The event is free, but advance RSVP is required.

Quilters- if you would like to be featured in the annual Texas City Museum Quilt Show, we are accepting submissions until 4pm August 28th**. Stop by the museum or give us a call for more info!

The Texas City Museum Quilt Exhibit is coming back!

Stop by the museum September 1–26 to check out this year's quilt display featuring beautiful work and creativity from our community.

The exhibit is open Tuesday–Saturday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., and don't forget to cast your vote for your favorite quilt between September 1–19!

Quilt Show is just around the corner, and we welcome you to submit your work!

🔵You can submit up to three quilts, 70 inches x 80 inches or smaller. (Note- there is limited display space for larger quilts, they will be displayed on first come first serve basis as space allows)
🟠The quilts will be displayed Sept. 1-26, with museum guests casting votes for their favorites through the Sept. 19. At the end of the exhibit, the three with the most votes will win a prize.
🟢The deadline to drop off quilts is Aug. 28 at the Texas City Museum (409 6th Street).
🔵Quilters can drop off their pieces Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-4pm (last drop off Aug. 28 at 4pm)
