Selected artists will exhibit alongside featured artist Mary Ellen Free in this celebration of the vibrant community of makers throughout our region.

🎨 Meet the Artist: Dr. Q / Kiumars Badr Dr. Q Art Studio .q.art

Dr. Q is a multidisciplinary artist and founder of Dr. Q Art Studio whose work exists at the intersection of science, symbolism, and emotional expression. With a PhD in biochemical engineering, his artistic practice merges technical precision with experimental creativity, resulting in deeply layered works that challenge traditional artistic boundaries.

Working across painting, sculpture, and unconventional processes, Dr. Q incorporates techniques such as tattooing on resin, leather, and canvas to create richly textured compositions filled with movement, dimension, and meaning. His work explores themes of identity, duality, transformation, and the interconnected relationship between humanity and the natural world.

Originally from Shiraz, Iran, and now based in Florida, Dr. Q’s artistic voice is shaped by cultural transition, introspection, and a profound appreciation for life’s complexities. Each piece reflects a fusion of disciplines and experiences, inviting viewers into a world where science and art coexist in conversation.

🎨 Meet the Artist: Hannah Richardson

Hannah Richardson is a mixed-media artist and art activist whose work centers on visibility, advocacy, and cultural awareness. Through acrylic painting, mixed media, jewelry, clay works, and functional art, Hannah creates pieces that uplift women within marginalized communities while challenging the narrow perspectives often reflected in Western culture.

Deeply inspired by nature and wildlife, her work reflects a reverence for the natural world and its unaltered beauty. Every piece is intentionally crafted with thoughtful attention to detail, symbolism, and emotional resonance, inviting viewers to slow down and connect with the care embedded within each creation.

A unique extension of her practice is her hand-painted matchbox collection, which merges art with direct community impact through a “pay what you can” model supporting causes such as Doctors Without Borders, immigrant legal aid, and breast cancer research.

Through activism, accessibility, and creative exploration, Hannah continues to build meaningful connections through art, live painting, and community collaboration.

🎨 Meet the Artist: Margaret Warren

Margaret Warren is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher, entrepreneur, and technologist whose work explores the unseen psychic structures that shape human experience. Through painting, photography, collage, figure studies, and mixed media experimentation, her creations investigate the layers of consciousness, memory, identity, and inherited emotional frameworks that influence how we relate to the world around us.

Drawing inspiration from concepts explored by Buddhism, Carl Jung, and other studies of consciousness, Margaret’s process-based work seeks to observe and deconstruct the internal psychic landscapes that define the self. Through color, line, shape, and form, her pieces become visual meditations on transformation, perception, and introspection.

Born into a family of award-winning visual artists, Margaret began working with photography at the age of three and was already receiving awards and publication recognition by age twelve. Her expansive artistic practice spans watercolor, pen & ink, photography, assemblage, sculpture, installation, and experimental photographic techniques including in-camera layering, multi-exposure imagery, and collage effects.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, featured in collections across the United States and Europe, and recognized in juried exhibitions. Margaret’s celebrated painted Porsche 356 art car has appeared at major exhibitions including the Houston Art Car Parade, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, museums, galleries, and automotive showcases throughout the country.

Experience the visionary work of Margaret Warren in Funkadelic Visions, on view now through June 27th ✨

✨ Tomorrow marks Murphy’s last day with us at LeMoyne Arts before he heads off to Colorado for his next chapter. While we’re excited for what’s ahead for him, it’s never easy to say goodbye to someone who’s been such a valued part of the team.

Murphy has brought warmth, dedication, and a steady presence to our space, and his contributions will be felt long after his departure. We’re grateful for the time we’ve shared, the work we’ve created together, and the care he’s shown to our artists and community.

Please join us in wishing him all the best as he takes this exciting step forward. Colorado is lucky to have him—but he’ll always have a home here at LeMoyne Arts.

You will be missed, Murphy 🤍
