We’re rounding out our celebration of Filipino American History Month on Sunday, October 25th, 12 to 4pm! 🇵🇭☕

Our special guest, , will be serving rice “coffee,” also known as kapeng bigas or sara sara. 🌾 Made from deeply toasted rice and 100% caffeine-free, it’s a comforting drink enjoyed in some parts of the Philippines.

Founder of , Kasey Acob, is bringing his own finishing touch to the drink: a warm rice coffee latte with a black pepper and cardamom spiced-honey syrup. 🍯✨

We’ll be pouring Philippine coffee all day too, so you can taste both. 💛

First bag of Philippine coffee: OPEN. ☕🇵🇭

Thank you Dorothea Coffee for donating this Mindanao-grown Sitio San Roque! Dorothea Coffee sourced it through Kalsada, an organization championing Filipino specialty coffee and supporting producers with fair wages, equipment, and training. 🌱☕

In the cup: gentle acidity, deep sweetness with a strawberry finish.

Come and taste it this week! We're open on Sunday!

Before it's a latte, it's a harvest. Coffee farmers around the world spend months caring for every plant, from seedling to harvest, so we can enjoy a single cup. Happy International Coffee Day!

Big treat at the museum this week. Bill Ristenpart, founding director of the UC Davis Coffee Center, paid us a visit and left these bags for us to try. Hmmmm... it's going to be good.

Also, how cool is that cow?
