How to verify malabar gold coin authenticity

Big difference between 1 gram of gold sizes between APMEX Orders.
So I ordered a gram of gold this month. I ordered a different gold bar than I have in the past. Once it arrived it was quite a bit smaller than other 1 gram gold bars I have ordered from APMEX in the past. Granted they were from different Mints. Still the size difference is shocking so I thought I would ask if this is worth reaching out to APMEX over.

Need help identifying this pendant
I found this while metal detecting and I’m trying to determine if it’s real. It’s stamped Canada, and what I think says Mav 71. It weighs 8 grams. Google has not been helpful in this mystery. If anyone knows anything about this, thanks in advance.

Big brother, little brother, and the feeling of gold
Took some of yalls advice and went to a local LCS to feel some gold. He didn’t like the idea of me just touching all of his gold so we agreed upon me buying some. A Kinebar just like I promised to that one user who was so offended at the thought of a Kinebar fondling 😈 (just kidding buddy, it was a happy coincidence). The gold felt as just as good as I imagined but I was still taken aback by its beauty. However; when introduced, the big brother looked down on his smaller kin and declared “I will not be clinked with you”!

So the search for the clink continues but the feel of gold was obtained. I think I see silver in my future 🔮
