This special gathering honors the legacy of José Policarpio “Polly” Rodriguez and our Native Tejano ancestors.

For over a decade, this event has brought together family, friends, and the community to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate our shared heritage. Guests will enjoy updates on our latest projects, a heritage auction, and a ribbon cutting ceremony for our new Prayer Garden.

Only ONE memorial bench remains available for sponsorship at Polly’s Chapel Prayer Garden!

This peaceful space has become a place of reflection and remembrance. These benches serve as a meaningful and lasting tribute to loved ones while supporting the preservation of this sacred historic site.

Benches are available for an $1,000 sponsorship, which includes a personalized inscription in honor of a loved one.

Last Saturday we held our Annual Open House for Polly’s Schoolhouse!

It was a beautiful celebration of Polly’s history and community. Guests got to witness firsthand the restorations and progress, as well as hear from Ms. Flo Hopkins, who attended in 1942, and Bandera County Commissioner Honorable Troy Konvicka.

The morning was a meaningful reminder of why preservation and community matters.

We thank everyone who attended for your continued support, and we can't wait to welcome you back soon!

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us this past Saturday to help care for Polly’s Schoolhouse!

The morning began with placing a flag on Polly's Schoolhouse and the Pledge of Allegiance, before volunteers got to work cleaning and maintaining the grounds.

Thanks to their hard work, the site is looking beautiful, and just in time for our annual Open House next Saturday, October 18th!

Your support helps keep our local history alive for generations to come. We hope to see you at the Open House!
