Fifty Years Ago at The Genesee Hospital..
Nursing School Graduates 55
Jubilation was the order of the day May 30th, when fifty-five members of The Genesee Hospital School of Nursing's 1976 Graduating class received their diplomas. Keeping with the tradition, joint graduation ceremonies were held with the Highland Hospital School of Nursing at the Nazareth Arts Center. William D. Ryan, president of The Genesee Hospital Board of Governors, was Master of Ceremonies for the event. Guest Speaker at the graduation ceremonies was NY State Assemblyman from the 132nd Legislative District, Thomas Frey. Frey praised the role of nurses in health care today and appraised the graduating seniors of the challenges which they will find as they enter a changing profession. Graduates from The Genesee Hospital School of Nursing were presented their diplomas by Mrs. Eleanor Davis, director of the school and Mrs. Robert Rodwell, president of the School of Nursing Board.
