Ready to take your creative side-hustle to the next level? Join local artist Ron Stokes and CultureWorks at the Capital One Café at Carytown on Saturday, October 24, from 3 to 5 p.m. ET for a free artoberVA celebration, The Business of Art, designed specifically for creatives.

Kick off the afternoon co-creating an interactive coloring book mural with Ron before joining him for a fireside chat on what it takes to build a thriving creative business. Topics will cover pricing your artwork, managing variable income, setting goals and scaling your work on your own terms. Whether you’re a hobbyist or a full-time creative, you’ll connect with fellow makers and leave with a clearer vision on reaching your money goals.

Capital One Cafés are built to be a more modern way to bank—combining everyday banking with comfortable community spaces where everyone is welcome. Come out, support our city’s creative culture, and see what happens when a neighborhood space goes all in on its community. Can’t make it? The Capital One Café is open 7 days a week with extended hours and friendly Ambassadors to help with everyday banking needs. And don't forget, you can get any handcrafted beverage for 50% off every day when paying with your Capital One card.

The reason for the artoberVA season is National Arts & Humanities Month, and Mayor Danny Avula understands the value & strength of our region's arts & culture ecosystem. 💪

And arts & culture are not just nice to have, they are ESSENTIAL.

We're talking $329.9 million economic impact, $82 million in tax revenue, and 6,700+ jobs in our region alone. 🤯

From local galleries, museums, performances, & concerts, to the many local artists who share their talent all around us, Richmond has SO many arts & culture experiences that make our region a truly special place to call home. 🏡

✨ Pro Tip: A special feature of artoberVA is the Pay-What-You-Will Event Series, featuring dozens of art classes, museums, performances, & more across 40+ venues and organizations where YOU can name your price of admission in an effort to eliminate barriers and make arts & culture accessible for all.
