This holiday weekend, experience the landmark exhibition that reveals a whole new side to an iconic American painter. Georgia O’Keeffe: “My New Yorks” features over 50 paintings from a pivotal moment in O’Keeffe’s career when she was experimenting radically with subject and form and charting her own artistic path. This unprecedented presentation should not be missed.

This is truly a great exhibition, which I saw last month. My second novel, "Black Iris" is a fictitious romp of a mystery story about a stolen O'Keeffe painting from a museum not unlike the Kreeger in DC:

A former FBI Art Crime agent and an auction house curator investigate the art world to recover a stolen Georgia O'Keeffe painting before a murderer kills again– and destroys the priceless art–in this sexy mystery thriller. Buck Madison—early thirties, wisecracker, ripped, is the museum’s choice to investigate, but the museum also demands that Lacey Martin – headstrong, intuitive, gorgeous – and a PhD educated curator, help him with the search. The case is getting absurdly complicated, and dangerous. But just how dangerous is something even Buck doesn't realize, and may not find out until too late. Because the next victims may be them.
